Yeah, but at least we know that one of the fedora changes caused the
problem. So the culprit could be found via diff..
I just got my keyboard working with the fedora series kernel. So I
gave the usbserial another try.
In Fedora Core 3 everything works beautifully.
My devices get shown in /var/log/messages as the following:
PL-2303 - IOGear GUC232A
FTDI FT232BM - No Name
MCT USB-RS232. - Targus
All three work transmit and receive however the third has warnings
printed (the first two did not.)
So 2.6.9-1.667 (Uniprocessor) is working for me.
Just in case it may help, I got my keyboard working again by disabling
Legacy USB Support in my BIOS. All my USB devices still work, so that
may be all that is required on your end.
I did not bother trying the 2.6.9-1.667 kernel prior till now with
usbserial, so either it was a change from fedoras 2.6.8-1.521 to
fedoras 2.6.9-667 in relation to working with Legacy USB Support
Enabled or it was the actually fixing of a problem related to the
usb-serial driver.
